Mangalorean Fish Curry Spice Mix or Masala
This dry spice mix I use with other ingredients to prepare Mangalorean Fish Curry.The Spice mix is good to cook for 2-3 persons.The Link of Mangalorean Fish Curry is given below:-
Mangalorean Fish Curry or Meen Gassi Recipe
Preparation Time -5-6 min
Cooking Time -2-3 min
Ingredients:-
1. Red Chillies 4-5 ( Usually Byadgi is used ,I used Serrano as it is available easily where I stay,I used just 2 ).Use it as per your heat tolerance.
2. Coriander seeds 1 and 1/2 teaspoons.
3. Cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon.
4. Ajwain /Carrom seeds/Jowan - 1/4th teaspoon.
5. Black peppercorns / Golmorich - 1/4 teaspoon.
6. Methi seeds/Fenugreek seeds -1/4th teaspoon.
Cooking:-
Dry roast the above spices for around 2-3 minutes on a very low flame and then grind it.DO NOT burn it. Its better to separately dry roast the chillies and then to roast the other spices.The above spice mixture has to be grounded with other ingredients which you can find in my Mangalorean Fish Curry post the link of which is given above to make the Fish Curry.
