Homemade Malaysian Sambal
This homemade Sambal I used to make egg sambal ,this Spice or masala paste is good for 2-3 people,the recipe link for egg sambal is given below:-
Egg Sambal
Ingredients:-
1. 1 shallot
2. 1 fresh Thai red chilly (use more as per your heat tolerance )
3. 1/2 inch ginger.
3. Garlic (2 big cloves )minced
4. 2 dry red chilly soaked in hot water ( use more as per your heat tolerance )
5. Lemongrass 2 inch ( bottom part ) minced.
Preparation:-
1. Grind the above ingredients to a smooth paste. I usually make it fresh and use it straight in the recipe so I do not need to fry it separately in oil and store it.I also do not add salt here separately as when preparing the recipe i will add salt but if you are storing for 2-3 days just in refrigerator then fry it in oil and use salt which will act as the natural preservatives.
