This homemade Jalfrezi Masala or Spice Mix is very quick and easy to prepare . You can prepare it fresh just before cooking and use it in your Jalfrezi recipe.
This Jalfrezi Spice Mix Recipe is good for making Jalfrezi for 2-3 people.

Chicken Jalfrezi Recipe

Preparation Time :- 5 min

Ingredients:-

1. 1/4 teaspoon of Nigella seeds also known as Black Cumin or Kalojeere
2. 1/8 teaspoon of Ajwain or Jowan also known as Carom seeds
3. 1 teaspoon of Cumin seeds/Jeera
4. 1 teaspoon of Coriander Seeds/Dhaniya seeds
5. 3 green cardamom/elaichi
6. 1/4 teaspoon of whole black peppercorns/golmorich
7. 1 inch  to 1/2 inch of Cinnamon/Darchini
8.  2-3 cloves/lobongo
9. Very little Javetri or Mace.

First dry roast on a very low flame for 40-50 seconds and then cool it down to room temperature and grind it in a mixer and grinder. After this few other ingredients we will need to add which are as follows:-

1. After grinding add 1/2 teaspoon of Turmeric powder
2. 1/2 teaspoon of Paprika or Kasmiri chilly powder
3. 1 to 1/2 teaspoon of  Kasoori Methi or dried fenugreek leaves .

Mix it with the dry roasted spices and your Jalfrezi Spice mix or masala is ready to be used for cooking.
