Fresh Apple and Orange Chutney with Dry Fruits

This Chutney is made with fresh Apple and Orange with dry fruits and hint of cinnamon,black pepper and fresh ginger.

Preparation Time - 10 min
Cooking Time - 15-20 min

Ingredients:-

1. 1/2 of a big Apple.
2. 1/2 of a big Orange.
3. 1 teaspoon minced Ginger.
4. 1 tablespoon chopped date/khajur
5. 1 tablespoon mixed raisins/kishmis
6. 1 tablespoon orange peel chopped ( discard the white bitter threads or the chutney will taste bitter )
7. 1/8th teaspoon cinnamon powder/darchini powder.
8. sprinkle of black pepper/golmorich.
9. Sugar about 4-5 tablespoon or as per your taste.
10. Pinch of Salt
11. Water.
12. Dried Cranberries about 1 tablespoon(Optional )

Preparation:-

1.Chop the Apple ( I did not remove the peel )
2. Chop the orange removing the peel.
3. Mince the orange peel,date and ginger.

Cooking:-

1. Boil water and add the chopped apple.
2. After 5 min add the minced ginger and cook .When the Apple turns soft add  the orange.
3. Cook for 3-4 minutes and add the raisins and then add the dates,salt and sugar.
4. Lastly add the cinnamon and black pepper.
5. You can have it warm or cold.
6. Its usually served as a side with Roti/Rice/Paratha/Poori and sabzi or dal.
