Chicken Burger/ Chicken eer Bora Indian Style




Chicken Burger but with Indian spices to suit the Indian taste buds.An american inspired Indian burger made easier with ready made chicken masala .Its spicy with flavours of onion,garlic,cilantro and chaat masala.

Preparation Time - 15 minute
Cooking Time -  12- 15 minute


Ingredients to make the burger

1. One cup chicken keema ( minced chicken )
2. Two teaspoon ready made chicken masala (my quick secret ingredient)
3. Half tspn Chaat masala
4. Salt as per taste, I used 1/2 tspn since i'll sprinkle some black salt on the burger later but if you are not sprinkling black salt later then adjust the salt as per your taste.
5. Black pepper ( golmorich ) sprinkle about less than 1/4 tspn
6. One big garlic clove minced
7. About 2 tablespoon of minced onion.
8. Cilantro chopped fine
9. Chilly finely chopped
10. Oil for frying the burger ( abut 1 tablespoon )
11. Corn flour /Besan or chickpea flour about 2 teaspoon
12. Bread crumbs 2 tablespoon

Note - the last two ingredients are for binding to make the burger

 Ingredients to Garnish Burger

1. Lettuce
2. Chopped onion
3. Tomato sauce
3. Sriracha / chilly sauce of your choice
4. Mayo/Tartar sauce / ready made Caesar salad dressing ( I used Caesar salad dressing )
5. Sharp grated cheddar cheese  optional )
6. Buns / bread

Preparation

1. Take the minced chicken in a bowl and add all the ingredients that is chaat masala, chicken masala,salt,black pepper,minced garlic, onion, cilantro chilly, bread crumbs and corn flour and mix it up properly.
2. Make flattened circular shaped burgers as shown in the picture  I made 3 )
3. Chop and keep some onions separately for garnishing,
4. Wash and dry the lettuce.

Cooking

1. Take a Non stick skillet and pour little oil
2. Place the chicken burgers on it and let them fry properly on one side before turning to the other side.Do this on a low to medium flame to ensure the inside of the burgers are cooked properly
3. When the burgers are nearly done sprinkle some cheese on top and allow it to melt down as shown in the picture.
4. Take out the burgers on a plate
5. I like to toast my buns before putting the burgers so I toasted the buns.
6. Next put a burger inside the bun and sprinkle little black salt, squeeze out the sauces( I used sriracha, tomato and Caesar salad dressing ) then put a lettuce on top to give the crunch and top with another bun.
7. Give a bite and enjoy with a cup of Hot Coffee or Tea :)
